Creating a New Graph

  • As well as configuring the way graphs and data tables are displayed in the Analyze Results workspace, you can also easily create your own  graphs and add them to the display.

  • Click the 'Configure this screen' link and then the Create a New Graph button.  This will start the Create New Graph wizard.

  • After reading the introduction panel, click "Next".

  • Choose to create a histogram by clicking the histogram image and select "Next".

  • Call your new graph "Compare Two Runs", give it a tab title of "Compare 2 runs" and click "Next".

  • Choose a histogram type of "Compare Runs" (you will see that alternatively you could create histograms to compare the relative performance of injection locations, or response time variance).

  • Select to compare Average Response Times and only to show User Journey information.

  • Click "Next", check the summary is correct and then click "Finish" to create your graph.

  • You will see your graph listed at the top of the right-hand list (the list that shows graphs and data tables not configured to be displayed).

  • Select the new graph and drag it to the bottom of the top-right list; this will cause it to be displayed last in the upper panel of the workspace.

  • If you have time, look at the other graph types you could create; remember you can click More Details on the wizard's panels to understand the meaning of every field on the panel.

  • Click "Close" to save your configuration.
  •
  • In the next section, we will use the newly created and displayed graph.
