Exporting Your User Journey

  • You now should have a User Journey that replays without (unexplained) errors and varies the value of at least one parameter.  As you configure your User Journeys, you will probably want to take back-ups of them so you have points to restore to if you need to do so.

  • We recommend you back-up your User Journey at this point. The next sections of this tutorial are advanced and having a back-up will ensure you that you have a place to restore to if you need to undo a set of configuration changes.

  • At any time you can take a backup by selecting the User Journey node in the navigation tree, right-clicking and choosing “Export to File”.

  • This will save the User Journey configuration to a file name of your choice in XML format. This file can be added to your source control repository, passed to other StressTester™ users (to import into their installation), or sent to Support when requested to help quickly diagnose problems.

  • If you need to restore a User Journey, simply right-click the User Journey you wish to replace, choose delete to remove it from your installation. Then select the Application node, right-click and choose “Import User Journey” and select the file containing the User Journey.
