Introduction to the GUI

The StressTester™ GUI is a single tool that can be used to record and edit User Journeys (business transactions), configure Resource Monitors to monitor the system under test, configure run configurations describing the test scenario, and analyse the results of tests to identify problems and their causes.

No need for multiple tools - everything is available in a single GUI.

Starting the StressTester GUI

• To start the StressTester™ GUI, use either the desktop item (if you chose to create one during the installation) or the start menu.
   
• You will see the StressTester™ splash screen and maybe notice that it is checking for any updates. If updates are available they will be summarised for you and you will have the option of updating your installation.
   
• The splash screen will then disappear and once StressTester™ has initialised – this may take a few seconds – the main GUI window will display
   
• When the main GUI window displays, one or more video tutorials will be presented.
   
• If you have not already watched the video(s) on this tutorial page, please ensure you double-click the “Introducing StressTester™” to fully understand the GUI.
