Recording the Journey

Recording a User Journey
  • It is worth remembering that the ‘rhythm’ you should get into when recording is: enter a name within the Annotation Window, maybe enter a description, click “Annotate” and then do the action within the browser.

  • The title bar of the annotation window displays the number of requests ('Steps') that have so far been recorded (as they were sent from the browser to the application). This number should rise as you progress through your recording.

  • If you forget to annotate something, or make a mistake, don’t worry. Keep recording - you can alter anything within the recorded User Journey at any point in the future.

  • When you have completed your planned User Journey, press the black rectangle ‘stop’ button on the Annotation Window to end the recording. This will close the Annotation Window, return you to be the main StressTester™ window, and display the post-recording wizard which is explained in the next section.
