Learning Center - Review Your User Journey's Sleep Times
» Tutorials » Setting Sleep Times » Review Your User Journey’s Sleep Timess
-
The normal steps to focus on for setting Sleep Times are the first steps of the web page steps – shown as Step Groups (dark blue two foot steps icon) in StressTester™.
-
You should click on each Step Group in turn and review the Sleep Time that was recorded, updating it if required.
-
After this, you should consider the User Journey properties timing fields. If you decide to change any, the normal ones to consider are the Cycle End Sleep Time and the Sleep Time Variation.
-
If you want to see the effect of Sleep Times, on one of your web pages in the middle of the User Journey, set a very long sleep time (say, 60000 which is one minute).
-
Quick Run the User Journey but uncheck the ‘Set all sleep times to zero’ checkbox when you start the run. Watch the web page thumbnails draw on the right-hand side of the Analyze Results workspace screen.
-
You should see a pause in the thumbnails at the page you set the long sleep time on, and then approximately a minute later the thumbnail for the page will be rendered.
- Remember to set the Sleep Time field back to a valid value!
