Getting Started Tutorial

Welcome to the Getting Started Tutorial which will guide you through all the steps you need to follow to get the most from your trial of StressTester™.

If you follow this tutorial to the end, you will understand how to:

  • Record User Journeys (business transactions)

  • Add parameters and alternative flows to them to correctly simulate real world usage of your application

  • Set validation criteria to ensure application responses are as expected

  • Vary 'sleep' or 'think' times so that the User Journey executes at the correct pace

  • Configure resource monitoring to identify any underlying system problems

  • Create Test Run Configurations - ramping the number of users you wish to simulate

  • Fully analyse the results of performance tests, identifying bottlenecks, slow requests, underlying system problems and much, much, more

We estimate it will require between 1 and 2 hours of your time to complete the tutorial; after such you will be able to configure and execute any performance test you wish using StressTester™.

Please remember, you can stop the tutorial at any point, bookmark the page, and then return to it at a later moment when you have more time.
