StressTester™ Learning Center - Execute the Test

» Tutorials » Test Run Configurations » Execute the Test

  • You are now ready to execute a performance test using the Test Run Configuration you have just created.

  • There are a number of ways to execute a test including clicking the Execute Test Run button in the StressTester™ GUI’s toolbar.

  • However, as you probably have the Configuration selected, the easiest way to execute a performance test using the configuration is to right-click on the node and choose ‘Execute’.

  • You then simply give the test a name, and click ‘Start Test’.

  • StressTester™ will switch to the Analyze Results workspace and select the test name you have just entered.

  • Select your User Journey in the navigation tree and set the Refresh to 5 seconds so that results are displayed (and updated) in StressTester™ graphs and data tables.

  • You will see the simulated load increase (usually depicted by a black line in the graphs) and the average response times of the web pages drawn.

  • If any errors occur (it is worth keeping an eye on the Errors value at the bottom of the navigation panel), these can be investigated by clicking the Details button.

  • For more information on this workspace, please read the next section in this tutorial.
